1. Who you're booking with

Your booking is a contract with Paul Ward, the owner of The Firs, Marble Hill, Dunfanaghy, Co. Donegal. You can reach us on WhatsApp at +44 7595 451781 or by email at paulpward64@gmail.com.

The Firs will be registered on Fáilte Ireland's short-term letting register when it opens in December 2026. The registration number will be shown here.

4. If you need to cancel

When you cancelWhat you get back
30 days or more before arrivalEverything you've paid
7 to 29 days before arrival50% of the total price of the stay
Less than 7 days before arrivalNothing, unless we re-let the same dates, in which case we refund what we receive for them

Please tell us in writing, by WhatsApp or email. If you haven't paid the balance by its due date, we'll remind you, and may treat the booking as cancelled after 7 days. We recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

5. If we need to cancel

If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, for example serious damage to the house, we'll refund everything you've paid in full. We aren't responsible for other costs such as travel, unless the cancellation was our fault and those costs were foreseeable.

6. Your stay

7. Damage and safety

Please tell us straight away if anything is broken or not working. You're responsible for damage caused during your stay by your group or your dog, beyond normal wear and tear. We'll always discuss it with you first.

The house is checked and cleaned before every stay. You use the garden, beaches and local activities at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or injury caused by our negligence, or any other responsibility the law doesn't allow us to limit.

8. Your consumer rights

Because your booking is for accommodation on specific dates, the 14-day cooling-off period for distance contracts doesn't apply. Your other rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

9. Problems and complaints

If something isn't right during your stay, tell us straight away so we can fix it. If you're still unhappy afterwards, message us and we'll reply within 14 days.

These terms are governed by Irish law, and the Irish courts deal with any dispute.
